Things I’m grateful for
- That I got a babysitting job that pays me hella and I don’t have to work at Target
- Hanging out with Paul in Petaluma last night and having a pretty awesome talk. Plus buying some AWESOME mom jeans at a thrift store for 7 bucks that I have turned into slinkster cool hipster shorts.
- My doggy and kitty who make me happy
- Going over to Kelsey’s house to watch Lost just like when we obsessively watched it in middle school. Then I tried to draw a mustache on her face and she grabbed the sharpie from me and pinned me down and despite all my efforts drew all over my face just like it always was when we were younger. Some things never change :)
- Sebastopol in general. I’m so grateful I grew up in such a special place.
- That Trader Joes has Gravenstein applesauce! fuck yeah! That’s right, more Sebasotpol fame thank you very much. We invented and grew Gravenstein apples.
- The fact that I was annoyed that there was so much diet food in the house and no real food. Progress much?
- I have so much gratitude when I’m acknowledged how far I’ve come in recovery. In group on Saturday I was the only one who enjoyed the group the previous week when Will was there and Barbara wasn’t. Will is so funny! He’s this little old freudian man who is so weird and interests me so much. And then Barbara was explaining that I’m the only one who didn’t have a problem with the change and that’s because I’ve done a lot of work in recovery and I’m far a long the recovery process and doing very well. I was SO FREAKING HAPPY! And then when some friends text me and ask me how I got to a certain point in recovery makes me so happy.
- I’m grateful that I took care of myself by buying some new young woman clothes :) Plus I’m getting rid of some more old clothes. Like another pair of shorts that I got in 8 grade. Those are going. Plus all the shit I never wear. College is good for downsizing. Not having a room is good for extra downsizing.
- I’m grateful that I finally got the courage to buy a razor I can’t take apart and throw away all of the ones I can take apart.
- I’m proud of myself for trying so hard.
